If you saw my last post, you read that I got a new piercing. Yeah, I loved it. Hence the word loved. Yeah, you read that right. Monday night, I had to take out my new earring because my ear swelled up and hurt like nuts. I couldn't take the pain anymore (I took 4 ibuprofins that day) so I took it out and it bled for 30 minutes. My hands were shaking and I felt like I was going to pass out because it hurt that bad. Ugh. I'm so bummed because I loved my new piercing!
Anyways. I hammocked with my friends on Monday--the weather was SO nice.
The clouds were moving by so fast. It was beautiful.
So far this week, I've been listening to my Celine Dion Pandora radio station. Yes, I still love her.
I've also been drinking a lot of coffee out of extremely large cups because I broke my favorite mug from Anthropologie whilst moving this weekend.
I've been using Suave's Moroccan Oil and Covergirl's smoky shadow blast in Bronze Fire nonstop (more on that soon).
Also, I have found that I'm really good at not staying on task--I was in the middle of doing my accounting homework and then I stopped because I felt the need to share my week thus far.
Do you get sidetracked while doing homework?
What have you been up to this week?

Gel Eyeliner
Hi, everyone! I have a long over-do product review for you all today.
I bought Maybelline's Eystudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner because my sister was absolutely raving about it so naturally, I went out and bought it in Charcoal. I've never used an eyeliner that had a brush with it, nor have I tried a gel eyeliner, so I was pumped to try this! I've been using this for a few weeks and I love it. I really like the charcoal color--it's the perfect color for a daytime liner because it's not too dark. The packaging is another plus--the glass jar is tasteful and sophisticated (I love the jar!). I love the idea of using a brush instead of a stick liner. Although I do love this eyeliner, it doesn't last all day and it will smudge a bit. However, I tend to touch up during the day anyways, so it's not a hinderance in my opinion.
Have you tried Maybelline's gel eyeliner?
Do you like using stick liners or brush liners better?

A Rant & Reminder
(via Pinterest)
I've recently had this quote on my heart. With all the great technology we've been introduced to, a lot of society today has become completely submerged within it. Including me. I've found myself pulling out my phone while spending time with family, or "just checking" my phone when out with Gary. And then, I'll realize quite a few Instagram pictures later what I'm doing and put my phone up. I've looked back on the past few years and regret that I didn't spend my time with who I was with because I was too busy being on social media or on my phone in general. Just a reminder: whoever you're with, whatever you're doing, whether you're walking across campus, or you're spending time with your boyfriend, put your phone away and just be. Be present and soak up all the beauty we've been given in this world and the people around you. You never know what you'll gain by being all there.

Fall Wish List
Hi, everyone! This past weekend was a bit chilly here in Birmingham and now I am so ready for fall to be here. So, today, I am going to share with you my fall wish list!
1. I am dying for this bag. Phillip Lim has teamed up with Target and he now has a handbag line out! As you may or may not know, Lim's collections are very expensive (see here and here for proof). However, with his Target collaboration, the bags are so affordable and SO cute! I. am. drooling.
2. My friend Hannah told me about Rimmel's Scandal Eye Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in nude and convinced me I needed it. Plus, she also told me that when you apply it to your waterline, you appear to be more awake!
3. I have made it my mission to find a new makeup bag. I don't have too many makeup bags because I hate feeling like I'm traveling all the time and I like organizing my makeup, but since I'm back at college and I travel back home, I feel as if it's a good investment.
4. I bought a Sonia Kashuk brush at the beginning of the summer and I fell in love with it. Since then, I've been wanting a whole set of them.
5. I saw this beanie on H&M's website and I have been drooling over it. I love wearing a hat during the fall and winter months. I think it adds a lot to an outfit.
6. I have been looking for the perfect pair of black jeans. I think black jeans can make an outfit all by themselves.
7. I've also been looking for a tribal, fitted skirt. I think this one from H&M is so cute!
8. Over the summer, I've fallen in love with gold statement pieces. Since then, I've been looking for the perfect gold statement necklace.
9. Last, I've been dying to have some leopard print flats. I don't own anything animal print, so I think this would be a good place to start!
What is on your fall wish list?

Florida Trip: Day 4
Hi, everyone!
I apologize that this post is a little over-do! But, it's FINALLY done! Here's day 4:
To read about day 1 click here, day 2 click here, and day 3 click here.
Gary and I's fourth day in Florida was spent at Islands of Adventure! We promptly arrived at the park a few minutes after opening, and headed straight to the back of the park to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! We confidently walked up to the gates and were told that the ride was down and would be open in an hour or so. Still confident we would ride in a few hours, we rode the Dragon Challenge twice and then headed back over to the gates of Hogwarts. We were then told they didn't know when the ride would open, so off we went, sulking. I was so sad (you can definitely tell in the video below)! The Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is my favorite ride and I was not leaving without riding it. So, Gary and I rode every ride in the park. We were actually standing in line at Spiderman when he called the front desk at Islands and asked about when the ride would be open. The voice on the other line said that the ride opened 15 minutes ago!
Being Harry Potter fanatics, Gary and I jumped out of line, and fast walked all the way to the other side of the park to Hogwarts. We stood in line for almost two and a half hours to ride the Forbidden Journey. Let me just say, it was beyond worth it.
Below is a compilation of photos and videos we took throughout the day.

We brought our lunch to the Three Broomsticks and had cups of butterbeer (I'm obsessed with it)
Ollivanders- Look at all the wands in the window!
I'm pretty sure this is the dress Emma Watson actually wore in the Goblet of Fire:
After we walked around Hogsmeade and sipped our butterbeer, we finally made our way into the line for the ride. The pictures below are from the line outside.
The greenhouse where the students take herbology:
Inside the castle (excuse the quality of these photos--it was really dark!):
There were several unicorns:
Once we passed all the statues and unicorns, we walked into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom!
After we walked through the classroom, we then headed into Dumbledore's office:
You can actually see Albus himself in this one:
There were cabinets full of little trinkets like telescopes and such:
The Pensieve:
As we walked closer to the ride, we saw the lockers for the quidditch players:
Below I put all our videos we took throughout the day into one. This video includes walking through the castle and has a lot of what I couldn't get pictures of. However, I want to apologize in advance for the extremely bad quality of it. It was very dark, but you can hear the trio talking to you and the talking pictures!
After we closed down the park, Gary and I ate at Margaritaville. The food was SO good:
And that's it for our Florida trip! Day 5 was the day we went home and we were both so worn out that I didn't take any pictures. Plus, I slept the whole way back :)

Roam If You Want To
Hi, everyone! I wanted to check in with you all today. This week, I moved into a dorm (yay!) and I'm in the process of decorating/making it feel more homey. I haven't had a normal week yet, but I assure you I will be back to my blogging ways hopefully by the beginning of next week. I will be finishing my Florida vacation ASAP and then I have a few other posts in the works that I'm really excited about :)
P.S. I picked this picture frame up at the thrift store, painted it, cut out a part of a Florida map, wrote on it, and set it on my desk. It reminds me of all the travels I want to make one day!
What have you been up to this week?
