Go home and never want to leave?
Reward yourself with buying a new pair of shoes?
Wish that you could pack up all your things and teleport to somewhere other than where you are?
Not have dinner until after 11 p.m.?
Online shop but leave everything in the basket and never buy any of it?
Wish that you could sleep for an entire day?
Yeah, me too.
This past weekend Gary and I went home and I got to spend a lot of time with my dad. We ate some great food and spent time with friends. It was great. This week, I have my first exam of the semester, start a new job, and get to celebrate my little sister's eighteenth birthday! I'm excited!
What are you up to this week?

Beach Weekend
Last weekend, Gary and I went to the beach with some friends. Being my one of my favorite places to visit, the beach was just what I needed after a stressful school week. I couldn't stop taking pictures! Here are a few photos that I took over the weekend:

Ikea Desk
Hi, everyone! I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I had some planned, but if you follow me on Instagram, you would've seen that Gary and I went to the beach last weekend with some friends and got back Sunday night and I worked on homework until 11 p.m. and then went straight to bed so I didn't get any posts completely ready over the weekend!
During the week, I haven't had much time to do anything but prepare for class, go to class, and do work for class. By the time I get done with all my work, I'm left without any creative juices and my mind is practically fried! However, I promise I'm working on some upcoming posts for you all so don't go away just yet!
Anyways, today I wanted to share you some (iPhone) photos of my desk I bought from Ikea!
For right now, my desk is pretty boring. I haven't really had the time to completely decorate it like I want to, but for now, I think it's pretty functional! This desk, the Ikea Micke, is seriously amazing. There is so much space for all different kinds of stuff. It has a large drawer, and four shelves with lots of desk space. Not to mention, it has a place for your computer cords to come through the desk. I bought the Alex add-on unit to put my laptop on to make more room for books and for the two drawers for extra storage space.
I'm pretty much obsessed with my new desk and it was so fun for me and Gary to assemble it together.
Have you ever bought and assembled anything from Ikea?

Glasses
I bought these glasses on me and Gary's trip to Ikea. As we were perusing through the showroom, I spotted them across the room and ran to them. Needless to say, I'm obsessed with them and I give any excuse to use them. They remind me of the Flinstones!

Weekend/6
This weekend, Gary, Gary's sister, and I made a road trip to Fort Payne, Alabama to meet up with their family for Gary's other sister's engagement party. We spent Saturday night mingling and eating good food. On Sunday, we ventured over to Mentone, Alabama and stopped in a few shops and then headed back to Birmingham to stay up really late catching up on homework.

Back at it
Hi, everyone! I'm sorry for the lack of posts this week. I had them all planned and just failed to add content to them because school kicked into high gear this week and I'm officially back at it! This week was kind of experimental for me. All week I was trying to figure out my day-to-day life and when I'll have the time to study and work before class and work on my online classes as well as going to my actual classes. So, I apologize for being a bit MIA. I don't have a formal post for you today and probably won't until the beginning of next week because I'm trying to get the most of my work done today because Gary and I are headed out tomorrow to go to his sister's engagement party and we won't be getting back home until sometime on Sunday when all of my work is due. However, I should be getting into the swing of things very soon. I'll keep you guys updated.
Have a great weekend!

Concert Touchup Essentials
For the OneRepublic concert Gary and I went to (video coming soon), I brought a small bag of makeup and a skincare item for touchups because it was hot and humid and I wasn't sure if my makeup would hold up all day long!
Here's what I brought:
-Blush brush
-Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
-Revlon Colorburst Laquer Balm
-Covergirl lipperfection jumbo gloss balm
-Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush
-Maybelline Fit Me Powder
-Spooly
-Stila stay all day waterproof liquid eye liner (I have no idea why I threw this in there because it seriously lasts all freaking day! it's amazing.)
-L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Waterproof Mascara
And for the end of the night, I brought say yes to cucumbers makeup remover wipes to remove all of the makeup (not to mention sweat) for the long ride home.
What do you bring for touchups?

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
Hi, everyone! Today I wanted to talk to you all about Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. I purchased this in the shade Mont Blanc about a month ago and have completely fallen in love with it. It's one of those foundations that can be light to medium coverage or medium to high coverage-whatever floats your boat. The best application I've found is to use clean fingers to massage it into the skin and then buff it in with a flat top brush. It leaves the skin with a bit of a glow without the oil and lasts all throughout the day. I recommend going to Sephora and getting matched for a color and also getting a sample. With the dewiness, I wouldn't suggest it to the oily. However, Nars does have the Sheer Matte Foundation that I've heard is just as good but for oiler skin. Overall, I would suggest this foundation to all of you. It truly does live up to the hype!
