Make Up For Ever
Hi, everyone! Today I have a review for you all. I have been waiting and waiting to review this product for so long now and I can't wait to share.
Today, I'm going to be talking about Make Up For Ever's HD Foundation.
Okay, so first off I'm going to say that this is the best foundation I have ever used. Seriously. I. Love. This. Stuff. For my birthday last November, my parents bought me Laura Mercier foundation and it didn't look good on my skin at all. I don't know what it was, it just didn't look right, so we went to Sephora and returned it and I searched the store for something that suited me better. I told a girl who worked there what I wanted in a foundation and she did the Color IQ on me and I looked through several of the choices and we found that I was matched to Make Up For Ever's HD Foundation in #115.
The packaging of this foundation is in a plastic 30 ml bottle with a pump that I absolutely love. It's very sanitary, the bottle looks very clean, and makes application easy. I put one pump in the palm of my hand, then apply it with my Sonia Kashuk synthetic flat top multipurpose brush #04, and work it in all over my face. I found that I can really build up this foundation for a really high coverage look.
I really like this formula because it gives my dry face a dewy look without looking oily. Usually, I dab a bit of powder on the oilier spots on my face just to keep everything set. This foundation lasts me all day without breaking apart at all. At $42, it is an investment (at least for a college student like me). However, it lasts me around three months if I use one pump a day.
Have you tried Make Up Forever's HD Foundation?

Summer.
I've been studying, taking finals, and moving back home. Which sounds rather boring. Other than that, I've done a few other things:
Last weekend, my family came down to Birmingham and we had a blast eating at a local pizza place for dinner and a creamery for dessert.
The same weekend, Gary, our best friends, and I celebrated National Record Store Day by visiting local record stores. Gary and I bought our most favorite album (Explosions In The Sky-The Earth Is Not A Cold Dark Place).
I got my first longboard. It's totally righteous, dude.
Last week, on the 23rd, Gary and I celebrated four years together.
I packed up all my things and moved back home last Thursday.
On Friday, I went to Birmingham with Gary and his family for his sister's graduation on Saturday.
Yesterday, I went to Gary's house for his family's Easter lunch.
And today, I start my internship and job! Today is the first day of my summer and I can't wait to see what kind of adventures it will hold. I hope you'll join me.
In blogging news, I plan on posting during the summer throughout the week. I don't think I'll make a permanent schedule, so feel free to check back often (you can follow me on Bloglovin' if you're into that)! I do have some product and crafts I want to share with you all that I'm really excited about because I really really really love makeup and skincare things. Also, on one of my two Tumblr accounts, I'm blogging about my 8 week fitness challenge and inspiration which you can find out more about there. You should definitely check it out and join me. I hope you all are having a great start to your week!

Update
Hi, everyone! I'm so sorry it's been so long since the last time I've stopped in, but I've been preparing for finals the last week and a half. Plus, all my professors slammed us with multiple assignments due before the end of the semester.
The last few weeks haven't only been full of studying and working on assignments, but have been really exciting and fun too, so I can't wait to be back and share with you all what's been going on.
I have two more days of finals, I move out, move back home, and start a new job and internship all in the next week! Once I get back home and get settled, I'll be back to blogging.

Weekend/1
Hi, everyone! (Doesn't the picture above just portray Spring in one photo? I'm kind of obsessed with it although it doesn't pertain to this post at all :)) I wanted to pop in today and let you all know that I'm alive! I had a really busy week this past week. I was swamped with a really odd paper for my literature class, but I'm finally done with it!
In other news, I'm really looking forward to this weekend. Today, I am going to paint my nails, watch Netflix, and start working on getting together all of my study materials for my final exams. This sounds really boring, but I get really excited about painting my nails and watching Netflix! Tomorrow, my friends and I are heading out to our church to do a one day VBS for some kids at the Boy's and Girl's Club. Later tomorrow night, my friends and I are going to make dinner and have a "Friendsgiving" in April. We are so excited. Then on Sunday, we're going to church and I'll most likely be getting a head start on studying.
What do you have planned for this weekend?

How to Stay Unstressed During Finals Week
Hi, everyone! With the end of the semester quickly approaching, (I'm done with my Sophomore year on the 23rd!) I thought I'd share a few tips (that may or may not be common sense) that help me stress less.
1. Start now: This is obvious, but I think we all need to hear this. Don't put off studying until the week or weekend before all your exams. If you start now, you'll be able to cover more material over more time instead of most of your material in a few nights before.
2. Give yourself a break: I was just talking to my best friend Hannah about this one. Everyday, do something that you enjoy. If it's going outside and hammocking for an hour, do it! If it's spending an hour on Pinterest, do it! Whatever it may be, you need to spend an hour doing something you enjoy and reward yourself for all the studying you're doing.
3. Eat good: With finals coming up, we all know that means staying up late at the library with Starbucks in hand. Make sure you are eating good foods like meat, vegetables, and fruit. I suggest packing healthy snacks (like almonds, apple slices, grapes, granola, etc.) in your backpack for when you're at the library. Feeling sluggish from all the baked goods and sweet drinks will not be a good feeling come exam day.
4. Go to the gym: Make sure to exercise! With all the exercising of your mind, make sure you take a break to exercise your body too. Exercising will do wonders for you mood and attitude!
5. Get plenty of rest: Start a good sleep routine now. Go to bed early and wake up and go to the library early. This will help you get more done in one day.
6. Get organized: Make a list for the entire week of all the things you want to get done. Make sure this is attainable. Everyday when you complete things, check them off so you see that you are accomplishing your list.
