Clean Eating

Hi, everyone! I wanted to stop by today and ask you all a question. I've been wanting to start "clean eating" for a little while now and I wanted to know if any of you out there have tried it? Do you have any tips? How did you get started?

One Year of Blogging

Hi, everyone! As you can tell by the title, today, March 28th, marks my one year of blogging! I can't believe it's already been one year since A Tangled Tale came into being. Today is a special day to me not only because it's been one year, but it also means that it's been one year since I began documenting more parts of my life, put all my thoughts in one place, and as a matter of fact, let everyone know my thoughts on things.
It took me a lot of courage to come out of my little shell; however, I had so much fun this past year and I learned so many things about myself and life.
Thank you so so much to all of you out there who have stopped by and read my little blog! You mean the world to me.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush

Hi, everyone! I'm back from a long weekend in Indiana with a review for you all.
Tarte's Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush.
I received this blush in Tarte's holiday gift set last December which I love. It came in the shade "Memorable" that is absolutely stunning. The color is great for all different colored skin tones. Unfortunately, I don't think they sell this shade anymore which makes me really sad because I wear this every day and love it. In my opinion, I think the color looks pretty scary because it looks very bright, but once set on the skin, it blends beautifully. By lasting all day, this blush lives up to its name of lasting 12 hours. Who doesn't want rosy cheeks all day? Don't be fooled by the glitter, though. Once applied to the face, the glitter in the formula is pretty much nonexistent. Even though they don't sell this shade anymore, I will definitely be purchasing another shade from Tarte.

Have you tried a blush from Tarte?

Midweek

Hi, everyone! I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday. This week is the busiest week of my semester due to spring break being next week.
Like I said before, I went home this past weekend because my sister was going to prom and I wanted to be there to help her get ready and such. The picture above is us two before she went to prom. Isn't she beautiful?
This week, I have tons and tons of things due! Added to that, I have to pack up for spring break because right after class on Thursday, I'm headed to meet my family at home and then we are headed to Indiana for my sister's volleyball tournament. Yay!
Due to my hectic schedule this week, I'm going to try to catch up on this week's blogging over the weekend.
I have a really good product to share with you, so please check back!

I hope you all are having a fantastic week!

Almost the Weekend

Hi, everyone! I just wanted to stop in with you all this afternoon.
Five minutes ago, I finished My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I saw the movie a really long time ago and decided to read the book a few months ago. I wasn't halfway through the book until Monday and then couldn't put it down. I'm not going to lie, I cried.
In other news, I'm headed home tomorrow for the weekend. My little sister (who's not so little anymore) is going to her first prom Saturday night! I'm so excited.
This upcoming week, I have quite a few posts I'm excited to share that I'll be working on over the weekend, so make sure you check back on Monday!

I'll be back tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!

Spring Goals

Hi, everyone! I'm back today with my goals for the upcoming Spring.
1. Drink lots and lots of water: I've been noticing the past few months that although I've been drinking a lot of water, I've also been drinking way too many sugary drinks. This Spring, one of my goals is to completely rid myself of drinks that contain a lot of sugar and drink twice as much water. (As I'm typing this, I'm drinking an iced caramel macchiato from Starbucks...can I start tomorrow?)
2. Read: Since my literature class demands so much reading throughout the week, I've been unable to complete the three books I'm in the middle of right now. Over spring break, my goal is to read at least one of these all the way through, and then, throughout the Spring, finish the others.
3. Work on my French: Over Thanksgiving break, I downloaded the DuoLingo app to learn French. Oh my word, I had my basic French down in less than two hours! My goal is to practice my French a little bit every day this Spring.
4. Sew: I haven't sewn in so long! This Spring, I want to sit down at my sewing machine and let my creativity work its magic.

What are your goals for Spring?

They're Real!

Hi, everyone! Today I have a review that I'm very excited to share: Benefit's They're Real! Mascara. This review will be quite short because I have nothing but good things to say about it.
I received this little travel size mascara from Sephora for my birthday and I left it in the package for quite some time. Once I ran out of my mascara I was using at the time, (Maybelline's The Rocket) I tried this. Let me tell you, it was love.

Although I have heard a lot of talk about this mascara being clumpy, I haven't had a single issue with clumps.  This is mascara has shattered any expectations that I've had – it is by far my favorite one out there right now. This mascara is volumizing, lengthening, darkening, and it separates my lashes flawlessly. The only thing I want more of in this product is for it to be waterproof.

Have you tried Benefit's mascara?
