Moroccan Oil

(via Pinterest)

Hi, everyone! I have another review for you today--Suave Moroccan Argan Infusion Styling Oil! [The opinions and views shared are my own]
On blogs everywhere, there's always talk about Moroccan oil. It is always said to make your hair so soft and silky. How could I resist this? I did some research and found that this luscious oil by the Moroccanoil brand is a whopping $40! However, thanks to Suave, we have a cheaper version! After seeing the commercial for Suave's new Moroccan oil, I went to Target (can you tell Target is my favorite store yet?) and bought a 3 FL. OZ (the only size they have out right now) for around $6. This stuff is such a good deal and it smells so good!
First, I want to say that this product can be used in many different ways. It can be used after styling your hair to put to rest those pesky fly-aways, after your hair air-dries, after your hair has been blow dried, etc. I put a pump or two in my hand, rubbed by hands together (making sure some of the oil got between my fingers) and then ran my fingers through my hair from mid-length down after I styled it. It made my hair so soft while looking shiny and clean and it smelled great.
Second, I used this the second day after styling my hair to put down all the fly-aways. I pumped a small amount of oil into my hand, rubbed my finger tips together, and then lightly rubbed all my fly-aways down. It looked like I hadn't slept on my hair!
Third, this oil is not heavy. This product was made for all hair types in mind. Consequently, it does not weigh your hair down, which is great for those who have really fine and thin hair.
Fourth, this oil is not greasy. It doesn't make your hair look like you tried too hard to get shiny hair and got into a greasy mess on the way there.
Fifth, the packaging is perfect. The pump allows you to get a good amount of oil without giving you too much or too little.
Last, did I mentioned it smells so good??

Have you tried this Moroccan oil? Let me know your thoughts/comments!

Tattoo

Tattoo

[The opinions and views shared are my own]
I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend!
Today, I wanted to share a review of Maybelline's Eyestudio Color Tattoo 24 hr. Cream Gel Shadow. This product caught my eye in the commercial that's out right now. The model wears the really bright blue color and I thought it was really cool that a color so bright could stay on for so long--"24 hours"as they say in the commercial. After I had seen the commercial quite a few times, I knew I had to try this for myself.
I went to Target and picked up "Bad to the Bronze"for $6 and I couldn't wait to try it. The shade I bought is a very pretty brown with a tiny spark of a golden tint. To be honest, the longest I've worn it is probably 8-10 hours, but within this timeframe, it never faded--so I would say it does live up to its long-lasting name. I also really like the glass jar it's packaged in. I love how all these products are being placed in glass--the glass gives an elegant touch to the product. When applying this, you must be quick because it dries fast. However, it is really soft on the eyelids. I really really like this product! It is definitely a good long-lasting eye shadow that doesn't need to be reapplied throughout the day.

Fit Me

(via Pinterest)

Today I have a small review of sorts. As always, these are my own opinions that I'm sharing on my own accord and I do not proclaim myself to be an expert or professional.
I just bought the Fit Me (Maybelline) liquid foundation from Target because I ran out of my Covergirl foundation and I wanted to try something different. So, without further ado, let's begin!
Because I have really light and fair skin, it's really hard for me to find makeup that doesn't make me look orange-y or uneven. So when I bought Fit Me (I bought #110 which is the lightest they make), I tried it right away and I love it. First, this foundation must be set with a primer (I recommend the Bare Minerals Prime Time). Second, it is made for people with normal to dry skin. If you have oily skin, I would not suggest using this because it's dewy. Also, depending on your skin, you may or may not need to use a powder on top of the foundation. Thirdly, I think this foundation is really neat because like its name, it's almost like it fits your skin perfectly and it blends so well. Fourthly, you don't need an excessive amount. I use a dime size and it covers my entire face! Lastly, it has SPF 18 which is a great plus because you don't need to worry about your face being exposed to the sun if you're out and about outside.
The only complaint I have about this foundation is the way it's packaged. I love how sophisticated the glass bottle looks, but it really stinks when you get down to the bottom and you can't get the remaining foundation that sticks to the bottom of the bottle. I think a pump would be a better alternative, but I still love this foundation so much that I'm willing to overlook this small detail :).

Saturday/2

Song: It's Time by Imagine Dragons. You can find the song here. I'm sure all of you have heard this song. I can't seem to get it out of my head!

Show: 24. I'm re-watching all the seasons of 24--I absolutely love the show and they are making a new season to premier next summer! More details here.

Verse: James 4:14--"whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." Lately, I have been struggling with being really hard on myself and feeling really out of control, which in reality, I am. And this verse has just put me into perspective that I'm not here for my needs or for what I want, but to glorify God with the talents and the personality that He has given me (which I am still figuring out for myself) during this short period of time that I'm here!

Food: Fruit salad. As of late, I'm especially obsessed with fruit. I just can't eat enough fruit! :)

A Day at the Beach

Hey, everyone! Today has been quite overcast and rainy and I've been thinking about the beach nonstop. So, I thought I'd share a small collage for swimsuit season!
I have a really big weakness for swimsuits and I actually just bought this bikini from American Eagle (they are having a really good sale right now!) for less than $30 and I absolutely love it. This swimsuit season, I am looking for the perfect swimsuit coverup. I love this white one below--especially the detailing at the bottom. I really like the towel and beach bag--the leather straps make both look so sophisticated. Also, whether you're at the beach, the lake, or a theme park this summer, don't forget your sunscreen!

Favorite Lip Products

I just want to start off saying that I'm not an expert in makeup or fashion or anything. I'm just a girl who loves trying all these great products for fun and I want to share my opinions of products with others!
Growing up, I was always a tomboy. I never carried a purse, I hated the color pink, and I spent more than half my life outdoors playing barefoot and being sweaty. Nowadays, I spend the majority of my time online shopping and taking trips to Target and spending all my money on new clothes, shoes, bags, and makeup. When I arrived home on Friday from college, I showed my mom two shirts, a bathing suit, and a bandeau I had bought. Needless to say she said I had a "shopping problem." I am not denying this accusation, nor detesting it. However, I would like the world to know that I have changed my tomboy-ish ways and I will be going to Target later today (Shh.. don't tell my mom! :)) My mom actually tried to put lipstick and lip gloss on me on numerous occasions as a kid and I would run away and freak out. Never would I have thought that I'd put it on willingly! Now I'm rambling. Anyways... I wanted to share three of my favorite lip products! Here they are:

Favorite Lip Proucts

1. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter: My roommate Hannah introduced me to this product. I absolutely love this stuff! I bought the Berry Smoothie color. Because of my lighter skin tone, I always get kind of scared when it comes to lip colors. I thought this would be too dark for me, but when I put it on it was brighter than I thought. It looks great by itself and mixed with other lighter colors.

2. Eos Lip Balm: I found Eos about a year and a half ago. Eos' lip balms are great because you don't have to twist them and you can cover both lips at the same time. I have the Summer Fruit flavor and it reminds me so much of summer (hence the name) and it doesn't leave a weird flavor on the lips which is really nice! Also, it has a refreshing scent.

3. Maybelline Color Whispers: Color whispers came out not too long ago. I picked up #55, or One Size Fits Pearl, from Target a month ago and I've used half of it already! I love this product because it not only smells good, it also gives a little bit of color to the lips with an effortless look and is very light on the lips.

Saturday/1

On Saturdays I'm going to share my favorites from the past week. Whether my favorites are thoughts, Bible verses, songs, movies, people, looks, food, etc. Whatever they may be, I am going to share them on Saturdays!

Song: "Stars" by Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. You can find it here. This song is the perfect rainy day song and once I listened to it, I couldn't stop.

Hobby: Hammocking with friends. My last few days in Birmingham were so nice. My friends and I went hammocking and enjoyed our last few days together outside in the hot weather. It was a great ending to finals week and a great beginning to summer!

Show: Revenge. When I first saw the commercials for Revenge, I was curious, but not curious enough to watch it. Then, one afternoon I decided "hey, I have nothing to do. Why not start a new show?" So, I did. I began Revenge and I absolutely love it. It's so captivating and it keeps you on your toes.

Movie: The Great Gatsby! I saw it last night in 3D and it was marvelous! I wish I could have been alive during the 20's. The movie is so visually exciting. The acting is brilliant, the clothing is so extravagant, and the movie as a whole was on point. I loved it. Go see it!

Saw's

While taking a break from finals week, my small group Bible study got together last night for dinner. We went to Saw's BBQ and each had a cupcake from Dream Cakes in Homewood. Saw's has the best barbecue I have ever had. Ever. I got a pork baked potato. The meat was so tender and the potato was so hot and it was perfect (and probably a little fattening, but who cares). After dinner, we chowed down on our cupcakes. I chose the wedding cake cupcake and it was also perfect. I ate every single bit of it. All in all, it was a great night spent with some sweet girls and good food!
This is my potato (it was HUGE)

This is me showing the size of my potato:
